Here are some more patterns that I have created from polymer clay slices of canes that I have created over the past fifteen years, some are even earlier. I am having so much fun with these patterns and I almost forgot how much I love creating them as well as finding them in nature, life and within myself. This year I will be releasing some of my favourite patterns in series of prints, paintings and more.
Patterns of 2016 - Week One
Here are some patterns that I have created from polymer clay slices of canes that I have created over the past fifteen years, some are even earlier. Creating these prints has me so excited and some of my earliest memories are of staring at the wallpaper in my room and letting my eyes go funny. My mother loves wallpaper and all manner of interior design so there were always new elements going up on the walls and around the house. This year I will be releasing some of my favourite patterns in series of prints, paintings and more.

Smy Goodness Soaps
Here are some of my soaps that I recently made. I have been teaching soap making for some time now and it's nice to share some of my personal fragrances, shapes, colours and varieties. I'm trying to make the lips shapes in as many colours of lipstick that I have. The pink lips in the center are made of a shea, mango and cocoa butters blend and smell of almond milk. The red lips on the outside also smell of almond milk and are made with a clear, moisturising soap.
The deep red lips in the middle smell of fruity chewy sweeties and are made with the moisturising clear soap while the deep purple lips on the outside also smell of sweeties but with the cocoa, mango and shea butters.
There are many more varieties to come which will be sold in gift sets.
Chinese Blossoms Activity
These are the results from an activity held in a stay and play activity at Morningside Children's Centre in Hackney, London to celebrate spring and Chinese New Year. We talked about the different parts of trees, flowers and seasons. Then we looked at historical examples of drawings of Chinese Blossoms as well as photographs of Chinese Blossoms. For materials we used paper, stickers, cotton balls, pipe cleaners, glue, markers and tissue. It was a birlliant activity which the children really enjoyed and became enthralled with and made a lovely display.
Vestry House Museum WWI Biplane activity
On Wednesday 8 April I taught how to make WWI biplanes as part of the Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service day of activities held at Vestry House Museum in Walthamstow. We toured the exhibition and noted the personal accounts, art works, photographs and posters of the time with the children and adults and then when we returned to the activity room we created and decorated WWI biplanes. It was a great day with lots of other activities going on within the setting of the exhibition and the Vestry Museum's beautiful gardens.
