I am thrilled to be part of the Leytonstone Arts Trail this year! Follow the Leytonstone Arts Trail @leytonstonearts to get all the info and map to find me and all the incredible artists, venues and art that will be featured! The Leytonstone Arts Trail is an annual event celebrating local artists. Over two weeks, artists showcase their work in various locations, from their homes to public spaces. Their mission is to make art accessible to everyone and to celebrate the creative spirit of our community. Leytonstone Arts Trail: A Celebration of Creativity. Explore Amazing Art Across Leytonstone 5th July – 13th July, 2025
Smy Goodness has long been an amalgamation of arts, crafts, food and history and for the past year I’ve been quietly and lovingly based in Leytonstone. I’ve been reviving my podcast, preserves and patterns and thought the LAT would be a great way to share what I am all about. So I am filling canvases and jars inspired by how much I love it here, the incredible sense of community and as always food, arts, crafts and history.
Join me on Sat 12th July and Sun 13th July for Beads, Seeds & Delicacies which will showcase a blending of all the things I am inspired by; patterns, beads, fruits and veg. I’m curating a space of all my different offerings; mixed media works, the podcast, a chance to try existing and new Smy Goodness flavours (jams, chutneys, compotes and hot sauce), edible canapés sculptures and lots more.

To how it has become so entwined with the anatomy, metaphor and symbolism of the human heart, emotions of love. Points of discussion include Aristotle's History of Animals, Pierre Vinken's The Shape of the Heart, the Ficus religiosa, Le roman de la poire, The Master of the View of Saint Gudula, loads of heart-shaped foods, Yard Sale Pizza's Valentine's Day heart-shaped pizza, Neufchâtel, Sachertorte and the absolute legend that is Ralph Wiggum.
